I am pretty new to this list but I thought they looked like so much fun. So I thought this week would be the best week to jump in and take part. The Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Click on over to her blog and give her some love. If you want to join in the TTT fun, you can find all the information on her blog.
Bookish Jobs I Would Do For Free (Real or Imaginary)
This week’s topic was submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ bout Books, and is one that I simply adore. I gave it a lot of thought and there are some listed that are fictional but others are real. I would love to be paid but lets be honest I would do some for free in a heartbeat.
1. Librarian at the Library of Congress
Doesn’t that sound like the best job. All those books are right at your fingertips. I visited there once when I was young and let me tell you it was the highlight of my trip.
2. Book Store Owner
It was an obvious choice! I love books and would love to have a book store but one that is in a small town and quirky in some way.
3. Work at Mackay-Taggert
I would do this one for free! For those who have been with me a while you know that Ian Taggert is one of my favorite characters and I would love to work with him and everyone else at their security firm. Ian is from the Masters and Mercenaries world by Lexi Blake.
4. Book Cover Designer
I would love to be talented enough to design book covers. I mean who wouldn’t want to do that? To know that a cover you created is out there in the world being loved by others.
5. Author
Just like a cover designer I would love to be able to write the stories that people love. How cool would it be to see your book that you wrote in a book store or in the hands of someone sitting in the doctor’s office. It must be such a thrill.
6. Shop Owner in Bliss
Again if you have been with me a while you know that Bliss, Colorado (series of the same name by Lexi Blake writing as Sophie Oak) is the town that I would love to live in. To have a shop of some sort there would be even more amazing. Maybe a bookstore there!
7. Literary Tour Guide
This would be one of those jobs that would never get boring. I would love to be a Literary Tour Guide. Can imagine showing people all the places that Agatha Christie wrote about or where she lived? It would be so magical and wonderful. All the people you would meet.
8. Own A Literary Bed and Breakfast
Again like an Agatha Christie one with high tea in the afternoons and a murder mystery weekend package or something with romance and weekend immersed in the lifestyle and culture of Jane Austen. Okay, this could have tied into the Bliss one as well. How awesome would a weekend in Bliss with all its quirkiness be? I mean we could have the WooWoo Festival and more.
9. Literary Agent
This is a given if you know me. Spending all day every single day reading books, finding new authors, and making dreams come true is something that would be amazing.
10. Be an Anchor to an Aspect
Okay this one would be both fun and dangerous since many Anchors simply die. In the Aspect and Anchor world from Ruby Dixon an Anchor is what holds an Aspect of a God in the mortal realm. They eat for them, sleep for them, and much more. The Aspect much kills the other Aspects of himself (or herself) to return to their realm. The downside is the Anchor has to die for the Aspect to die. There are plenty of adventures along the way and so much more. I would totally take the risk for the adventure.
What a List!
That is my list! I hope that y’all enjoyed reading it as much I enjoyed coming up with everything on there. Be sure to stay tuned for next week’s list!

Literary tour guide is a fun answer. I’ll bet it’s the sort of job that has all sorts of interesting things happening during it. 🙂
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
