Where I’m Starting

I am late to the Sarah J. Maas Universe because when these books first came out I wasnโ€™t that into Romantasy. I just simply wasn’t reading it at the time. A lot of it was always young adults which again I wasnโ€™t really reading. Recently though I have begun to expand my reading horizons and these books have made their way into my orbit.

Also, if you have been with me a while you already know that I donโ€™t always read the most popular books. I have fallen into that trap in the past. I read that book that everyone just loves and I hate every single second of it. That is the biggest reason I wait to read things. I want to know I am going to enjoy it. There is nothing worse than picking up a book and hating it.

Why Readers Love This Universe

Readers don’t just recommend Sarah J. Maas books. They hand them to friends, stay up late talking about them, and spend years revisiting the characters long after the final page. It’s one of those worlds that seems to stay with people.

From everything I’ve heard, this universe is filled with unforgettable characters, complicated relationships, dangerous magic, impossible choices, and the kind of emotional moments that leave readers staring at the ceiling after they finish a chapter. It has built a community that loves theorizing, debating favorite characters, and introducing new readers to the journey.

That’s exactly why it’s on my list.

I’m coming into these books with fresh eyes, no nostalgia, and no idea what’s waiting for me beyond the first page. If you’ve already fallen in love with this world, I hope you’ll enjoy watching someone discover it for the first time. Just…try not to spoil anything.
