My 5 Favorite Doms + Life’s A Beach Giveaway Hop

May. 12, 2020

I promised y’all a while ago that I would share my favorite Doms in the romance books world. I planned on listing my top five favorite and I will but, I had to bring in a few others that were screaming they be mentioned. I also have a great giveaway and hop for you as well. The hop is thanks to The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It . Good luck in all of the giveaways you enter.

The Doms listed below are in no particular order and I share why I love each one. Please be aware though the things they do in their books is for entertainment purposes only. Please don’t assume any dom you happen to meet in real life is going to be this awesome. Just thought I would put that out there.

1. Ian Taggert

Ian Taggert is my all time favorite dom. He is! I just love him for so many reasons but mostly how much he has changed through the course of the series. Yet he is still the same. He makes no excuses for who and what he is. He rarely, if ever apologizes, and it drives him crazy that his sister in-law calls him Satan. I love how fun he is at times as well. He’s funny, I mean what other boss would offer to get you a cotton candy machine with a stripper to feed it to you and call it Fun Fridays?

BUY ON AMAZON

2. Ace Tyler

Ace had so much going for him. His tall (I’m short and love tall guys), he’s the sheriff, and he knows just what a girl needs. I love that he tries to protect Hope because he thinks he is too dark in his needs. He takes his duties seriously and I don’t know there is just something abut him. He always knows what is going on in his town and is rather handy with those handcuffs.

BUY ON AMAZON

3. Drake Morgan

The most famous book dom was not here because honestly, he didn’t do it for me. It may be because I read about Drake first. While Drake has issues he was much more mature and knew what he wanted. He wasn’t so much the abused little boy who learned to control things beyond his control. S. E. Lund introduced me to the world of BDSM in books so the Unrestrained series has a special place in my heart.

BUY ON AMAZON

4. Blake Coleman

Blake’s wife and long time sub died from cancer and he’s still struggling. He owns a BDSM Club and does well. He logs into his wife’s blog and gets a message from “LanieLove” telling him how sorry she is. They make a connection and I love the way he helps her. They chat back and forth almost everyday. She helps him move beyond is grief. When they learn they are bane of each other’s existence in real life things get heated. Blake is kind of dom every girl wants. He’s strict when needed but fair. He genuinely cares.

BUY ON AMAZON

5. Logan Hunt

Logan is a vet with PTSD, so he and his brother buy a mountain lodge. A lodge that caters to both the vanilla and those with a little more kink. Not to mention the families (not at the same time!) On one such weekend Logan meets Rebecca who is there with her swinger boyfriend. Logan may think he’s too messed up for a woman but he certainly has the Dom “I’m in charge” down. I love how he lets the swingers know Rebecca is anything but frigid. A side note..shouldn’t you know your boyfriend is a swinger like after a few dates? I’m just saying.

Honorable Mentions

STEFAN TALBOT
JACK BARNES
JULIAN LODGE

I love Sophie Oak who happens to be Lexi Blake! Each of these books have amazing characters but since we are talking about doms let me share my thoughts. Stefan Talbot is the King of Bliss. Just ask his wife, she tells him that all the time. He is the billionaire who helps keeps things going. He came to Bliss as a child and made the townspeople his family. He is stubborn and struggles but I loved this book. Jack Barnes has a husband and wife. Both of whom are his subs too. He is certainly a take charge kind of guy. He’s not afraid to compact your car into a tiny square cube either or throw your panties out of the window. All of that doesn’t happen in the first book of the series but be sure to read the second. Then there is Julian Lodge! He also has a husband and wife. You have to read this series beyond his book because his reactions towards kids is so funny later. He’s like Jack in that he takes charge. It’s easy to see why they are friends.

XAVIER LEDUC
ALEXANDER “SLAY” SLATER
BLADE ROYAL

Xavier owns Dark Haven and is known as My Liege. He is strict and more of a full time master/slave kind of guy. He can be a bit much and hard hearted at times. I just loved him. Slay was the first “daddy” I read about and I admit I wasn’t too sure. I mean I’m from the south when I say daddy I mean the man who shares my dna. It was weird for me the first read but after I was able to set aside my personal hangups I loved the book. Blade is the kind of dom that has a blindfold in his pocket at all times. He owns Club Desire with his two business partners. He also lives there and he is a rather strict dom.

Hmm, I really don’t read a lot of the books with doms. I can’t stand the most famous one that you mentioned…at least I assume you were talking about Mr. Grey, lol. I’ve never understood the popularity of that series. I’m more into the books with humor and maybe mystery involved.

Yes, I was talking about Mr. Grey. I know a lot of people love him but he just ins’t for me. Almost all of the books I mentioned involve some sort of mystery as well. I like the suspense and mystery to keep the story going. Drake’s story doesn’t but there is plenty of drama to keep it going. Logan’s story doesn’t either but the story line is so great.

I don’t have a favorite…yet. I just started reading again, after many years of forgetting about my love of it. I’d forgotten all about these types of books, but now you have me wanting to find one. I know I love dom characters in movies and TV shows. How’d I forget about them in books?!

I don’t have a favorite and the few I’ve read didn’t leave much of an impression.

Hi, I’m Rita and I write all about books. I learned at a very early age just how much I love to read and getting lost in the worlds that books provide.

CAN YOU KEEP HER SUPERNATURAL SECRET? Moon of Secr CAN YOU KEEP HER SUPERNATURAL SECRET?
Moon of Secrets by Brenda Trim and Tia Didmon is now live!!

https://geni.us/MoonofSecrets

To stop the darkness, I must walk among the enemy

Going undercover in a rival wolf pack wasn't part of the plan, but it's the only way to uncover their true motives. With a false identity and a carefully spun lie, I slip into their hidden community, only to learn the truth is far more dangerous than I imagined.

These wolves aren't evil. They're being used. Manipulated by an ancient entity that feeds on shifter energy, one bent on harnessing enough power to permanently darken the moon. If it succeeds, every wolf shifter will gain unstoppable strength, at the cost of our humanity.

As suspicion sharpens around me, I lean on Eve's spells to mask my identity and Salima's guidance to reach my allies on the outside. Time is running out, the lunar ritual draws near, and I'm walking a razor's edge between exposure and survival.

Because saving the city isn't enough this time. I have to save them, even if they tear me apart for the truth.

Find out what lurks in the shadows of Ravenholde by reading Moon of Secrets, the Paranormal Women's Fiction series readers are comparing to Shannon Mayer, K.F. Breene, and Victoria Dannan.

I blame getting pregnant on my sister getting mauled by a bear.
If she hadn’t been attacked that day, I wouldn’t have come home to check on her. I wouldn’t have run
into Boone Windsor at that bar. I wouldn’t have gone home with him, ready to drown my sorrows in a
different, more satisfying way.
I wouldn’t have given him that second chance.
Not after he’d so badly burned the first chance.
I would’ve gone back to work half the country away, and I would’ve kept my head in the sand where
Boone was involved.
But my sister did get attacked. I did give Boone a second chance.
And I almost died because of it.
After my memories are lost in an accident that almost takes both of our lives, Boone makes me fall in
love with him all over again.
And since I didn’t know all the hell that awaited me, I didn’t guard my heart.
I fell, and fell, and fell until there was nowhere else to go but down.
Then, when those memories come back and I’m faced with the consequences of my actions, I didn’t
falter.
I knew he was hell, yet I chose to burn with him anyway.
