Freedom, salvation, redemption, liberty.

Itโ€™s not a concept Charlotte Rose has ever considered.
Sheโ€™s busted her tail her entire life.
Worked at her doomed marriage
and slaved to build the company she loves.
Work is life.
Love?โ€ฆyeah, thatโ€™s something sheโ€™s learned to live without.

Divorced and tired of the fight over her beloved business,
sheโ€™s jaded and she knows it.
Charlotte needs a fresh start.
So she packs up and moves across the ocean,
to be with the one solid thing left in her life: Her best friend.

With all her energy focused on what the future holds,
she dives right back into old habits,
throwing herself into work and neglecting life and love.
She has no idea life is choking her until himโ€ฆ

They meet by chance, and now heโ€™s everywhere.
Heโ€™s so centered, so calm.
She needs someone to save her from herself.
Redeem her from her past mistakes.
Free her to discover who she really is.

Itโ€™s clear that the enigmatic Rhys has found his saorsa.
The question is: Can he help Charlotte find hers?

I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I really enjoyed the blurb for this so that is why I took a chance on it. I’m typically wary of books written by two authors because everyone’s writing style is different and it could end up disastrous. Another plus for me was the hero is Scottish!

This book was okay for me. I wanted to love it beyond belief but it just didn’t do it for me. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good book. The characters are well written and both authors did a great job with them. They had plenty of chemistry together which was something that I loved. This could be the best read for some of you and that is why I gave it four stars.

Saorsa-Teaser-2

โ€œCan I get your number?โ€ he asks, catching my elbow to halt me and then letting it go just as fast.
I still for a moment then look back and shake my head. โ€œI donโ€™t think thatโ€™s a good idea.โ€
He faintly tilts his head and studies me for a moment. The crystal blue of his eyes bore into me, breaking his stare I look over at Louise and Cami.
โ€œCharlotte,โ€ he implores in his rich whiskey voice. I move my gaze back to him, shaking my head. โ€œHow long are you in town for?โ€
โ€œIโ€™m here to stay,โ€ I reply softly.
A hint of a smile quirks on his lips. โ€œMaybe we will run into each other again then.โ€
โ€œPerhaps,โ€ I offer. โ€œIf we are meant to be friends, Iโ€™m sure the stars will align and we will meet again.โ€ I was channeling my inner Louise with that line of rubbish. I have to bite the inside of my lower lip to keep myself from smiling.
โ€œYou are very intriguing, Charlotte.โ€
My name on his lips gives me pause, but I force myself to finish our goodbye. Itโ€™s for the best. This is the first day of my exciting new life, the last thing I want or need is to get tangled up in a messy break up. โ€œIโ€™ll catch you later,โ€ I say with finality. Turning to walk away, I try to make a smooth departure but trip on air. One second Iโ€™m falling and the next Iโ€™m caught around my waist and lifted back up to my feet. I donโ€™t even have a second to process what happened before he speaks.
โ€œCareful, kitten,โ€ he murmurs close to my ear. โ€œYouโ€™ll hurt yourself.โ€
I shiver, goose bumps ripple down my arms. I turn around to look at him and our faces are too close for comfort. I take a step back so that I can breathe. โ€œThank you, Iโ€™m not usually so clumsy.โ€
โ€œIt was my pleasureโ€ฆWhatโ€™s your last name?โ€
I wonder for a moment if I want to give him that information, but then it comes unbidden from my lips. โ€œRose.โ€
โ€œCharlotte Rose.โ€ He takes my hand, bending down to kiss my knuckles. โ€œUntil we meet again,โ€ he says softly, and then he turns and walks away.
