It’s a new month which means showcasing a new author. This month I thought I would showcase Maya Banks to y’all. Now I have read plenty of her books although I will admit to loving certain series over others. You will notice that when I share all the months I love with you.
There are so many different Maya Banks books to love. I lover her KGI series which is about a family of secret operatives who seem to take in an unusual amount of strays. Each family member gets a book but the strays do as well many times. They are all wonderful and the couple I have listed below aren’t any of the Kelley family members but trust me when I say their books will leave you just as breathless.
This is my favorite of Maya Banks’ Scottish romances. Genevieve is locked in the McHugh Keep and people aren’t nice to her in any way. She is a prisoner who misses her family and at times just wants to die. Then Bowen Montgomery storms the keep and one look at Genevieve leaves him breathless. He just has to slay her dragons so to speak. None of which is a hardship for a Highlander. This a must read for anyone who loves Scottish Romance in my opinion.
Steele and Marin’s story is one of my favorites in the KGI series. There is so much action in this book. Hot sexy chemistry, a helicopter crash, falling our of a helicopter, a kidnapping, a pregnancy, and so much more. Little Marin certainly brings big bad team leader team to his knees. We see Steele in most of the previous books but this one shows a side of him that we rarely get to see. Plus I love that Marin gets paired up with him. The good doctor is always patching everyone up so it’s only right she becomes family.
I loved this one, mostly because I wanted to throat punch Simon most of the book.Toni has been in love with Simon forever and when they finally spend a night together and he calls her his girlfriend’s name. The same girlfriend he just broke up with. Then he doesn’t remember anything the next morning. So in two months when Toni discovers she’s pregnant she wants Simon to want her and not because of the baby. You can guess all the drama that happens here.
Hancock has been both an enemy and an ally at times for KGI. You never know just what side he is going to be on. This book had me in tears so many times. He has to make some very difficult decisions that may cost him his soul this time. He is tasked with finding and guarding a prisoner regardless of how much she suffers in said prison. He is to turn her over which will lead him to take out someone the world is better without. He just doesn’t count on her will to live or her knack for getting to those around her.
I love all of the books in this series. It is also a series that you really need in order. You could just read one but sometimes they discuss things that was said or happened in the previous that I feel you get a better understanding of after having read each one. This series is all about finding love and having babies.

2025 Update on Maya Banks
Maya Banks is and always will be one of my favorite authors. Sometimes around 2019 she disappeared front he writing world. There was a post on her Facebook page stating she was dealing with some health issues. To this date (March 31, 2025) there have been no updates nor new releases. No one seems to know what happened to her and there is no way to send any well wishes. Some people suspect she may have passed away others think she just stopped writing. Whatever the case I urge to pick up her previously released books if you have not. They are amazing. Just be prepared to fall in love with the Kelly family and to maybe never get Rusty’s book.
I have not read a Maya Banks book yet. The Darkest Before Dawn book interests me.
I have read her Sweet Series and really liked those books. My favorite was Sweet Persuasion
I have not yet read any of her books but I am interested in the book called Highlander Most Wanted that sounds super good and I love the cover.
