July 2022 Featured Author: Eliza Knight

It’s the beginning of a new month which means time for our newest Featured Author! This month we are showcasing Eliza Knight! I discovered her a few years ago when I was on my Scottish time travel kick. Her Highland Bound series ended up in my suggestions on my nook and I will tell you I enjoyed it very much.

She writes both Historical Romance and Historical Fiction. I enjoy all of her work that I have read but enjoy her Historical Romance the most. Her books and writing not only keep me entertained but also make feel as though I am in the time and century each one is written.

3 Books from Eliza Knight

Behind the Plaid

Highland Bound #1

He dominated her mind. She possessed his soul.

Emma Gordon escapes from a troubling marriage in which sheโ€™s completely lost sight of who she is. Desperate for independence, she leaves her husband while on a trip in the Scottish Highlands. Only thing is, she ends up hurled back in time to the 16th Century Castle Gealach and headlong into the arms of the handsome, intimidating Laird Logan Grant. Thrust into a world filled with treachery, danger and intensity she must summon the courage to find her way.

Logan is tormented by a dark past and harbors a secret that could tear his country apart. Heโ€™s consumed with the need for control which wars with his longing for harmony. Unable to resist Emmaโ€™s beauty and spirit and the calm that she invokes, Logan confesses he desires her – but only on his terms. He promises erotic encounters that will change them both forever, and quench their overwhelming desire.

Despite her own reservations, Emma longs to get close to the mysterious laird, even while she is desperate to return to her own era. She agrees to Loganโ€™s proposal to satisfy her curiosity, but in the end embarks on a daring, passionate affair that rocks her to the very core. Secrets are uncovered, souls bared, spirits transformed. Neither of them can hide behind the plaid.

Highland Steam

Touchstone #1

Passion pulls her into the past…Will love keep her there?

Tragedy strikes in the Highlands, making Drostan the laird of the Comyn clan and in need of a wife to placate his people. His only choice is to trust in magic and travel to the sacred circle of stonesโ€ฆwhere he must passionately lay claim to the woman Fate brings him.

Briana is lost and alone when magic lights up the night. She meets the man of her dreams, who rocks her to her very core with his ardent kisses, and somehow manages to steal her heart. The problem? The man of her dreams lives eight hundred years in the past.

Taming the Scot

Scots of Honor #3

Back from the war, Captain Euan Irvine of Scotland, presumed heir to the Baron of Drum and chief of his clan, learns of his grandfatherโ€™s death. The will stipulates whichever grandson produces an heir first will be the rightful claimant to his title and properties. Except that this is a race of which Euan wants no part. Marriage and heir-producing is better left to the gentleman in society. He is not distinguished, and he is far from proper. Euanโ€™s a rough-and-tumble warrior still seething with bitterness from the horrors of war and the men he lost. Under pressure from his sisters, Euan reluctantly agrees. When his older sister snidely remarks he should have had a governess to teach him better manners, Euan decides to do just thatโ€”hire a governess to help prepare him for marriage and his new role as laird.

Miss Bronwen Holmes is desperate to disappear from her deceased parentsโ€™ creditors, who have threatened to abduct her and force her into a fate worse than death. When she reads an advertisement for a governess in the Highlands, she hightails it out of Edinburgh to start a new life. Little did she know that her charge would be a grown man whose steely gaze makes her heart flutter.

It doesnโ€™t take long for Euan to realize that Bronwen is the furthest thing from a governess. She is a lass sorely in need of protection. As she attempts to teach him all the wrong ways of being a gentleman, his desire to keep her safe gives him new hope in life and a drive to prove heโ€™s the rightful Laird of Drum.

About Eliza Knight

Eliza Knight is an award-winning and USA Today bestselling author.
Her love of history began as a young girl when she traipsed the halls of Versailles and ran through the fields in Southern France. She can still remember standing before the great golden palace, and imagining what life must have been like. Join Eliza (sometimes as E.) on riveting historical journeys that cross landscapes around the world.

While not reading, writing or researching for her latest book, she chases after her three children. In her spare time (if there is such a thing...) she likes daydreaming, wine-tasting, traveling, hiking, staring at the stars, watching movies, shopping and visiting with family and friends.

She is the creator of the popular historical blog, History Undressed and a co-host on the History, Books and Wine podcast.

She lives atop a small mountain with her own knight in shining armor, three princesses, two very naughty Newfies, and a turtle named Fish.
