A Winter Wedding a Primrose Hall by Jill Steeples | Book Review

A Winter Wedding a Primrose Hall by Jill Steeples | Book Review

After this book from the Primrose Woods series, it was an absolute delight. While I haven’t read the others, I can say this one stands beautifully on its own, drawing me right into the magic of the season.

A Winter Wedding at Primrose Hall by Jill Steeples
Series: Primrose Woods #6
Genres: Contemporary Fiction, Contemporary Romance

As the year draws to an end at Primrose Hall, Pia and her Lord of the Manor fiancé Jackson are putting the finishing touches to their annual Carols by Candlelight evening.

The past twelve months have not all been plain sailing – Jackson’s father Rex had a serious health scare, his long-lost brother Tom appeared unannounced, and Jackson himself had his own disaster. So the family are thrilled to finally be able to look forward to Christmas together and the event of the year – Jackson and Pia’s long-awaited wedding.

With the idyllic backdrop of Primrose Woods, the dream venue, and a community ready to celebrate with them, Pia and Jackson are counting the days until they are husband and wife. Now they just need to cross their fingers that the dramas of the previous year are all behind them…

Welcome back to Primrose Hall for the wedding of the year and guaranteed laughter, friendship and romance. Perfect for fans of Cathy Bramley, Heidi Swain and Julie Houston.

my review

The weather here recently turned cold so reading the cozy, festive atmosphere of this book instantly made me feel like I was in a winter wonderland! This is the final book of the series which I didn’t know at the time but still enjoyed.

I loved that I understood who the characters were and didn’t feel lost having not read any of the other books. While I did miss out on the history and depth of the characters it took nothing away from this installment.

Primrose Hall where Jackson and his fiancée Pia live sounds like such an amazing place. Their daily lives are full of animals, family, friends, and planning their wedding during the holiday season.

Overall, this was a delightful read, with well-developed characters whose quirks and personalities feel entirely natural. If you enjoy contemporary fiction centered on family and friendship, this is a series worth exploring. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars A bookstore owner stalks an author. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars

A bookstore owner stalks an author.

The author threatens to call the police.

Then actually does.

Somehow this turns into a romance and I loved every minute of it. 😂

Jasmine and River were chaotic, stubborn, funny, and completely perfect together. Their banter carried this entire book for me.

Also, River trusting Jasmine when everyone else was questioning her? That man knew exactly who she was.

A town full of lovable busybodies ✔️

I loved how Liza and Cassian slowly became part of each other's everyday lives before romance really took center stage. They were so comfortable together and completely made me smile.

And Alaric's formal complaint? I laughed so hard I nearly spit out my drink. 😂

I cannot wait for the next trip back to Blackthorn Bay!

Bridger was the Rogue Pack wolf I most wanted to k Bridger was the Rogue Pack wolf I most wanted to know more about, and his story absolutely delivered. We've seen glimpses of him throughout the series—always keeping his distance while still showing up when it mattered most. Finally learning the truth behind his past and the loss he carries was heartbreaking.

Kit was not at all who I expected for Bridger, but she ended up being exactly what he needed. Their story felt a little different from the other books in the series, focusing more on healing, guilt, and emotional growth than outside conflict. I actually loved that change of pace.

The Rogue Pack's matchmaking antics had me shaking my head and laughing at the same time, and as always, the pack dynamics were one of my favorite parts of the book.

A sweet, emotional paranormal romance filled with heart, healing, and one grumpy wolf who finally gets the happiness he deserves. 🐺
