A Little Quiet Around Here Lately

I know things have been a little quieter around here lately, both on social media and over on the blog. I haven’t disappeared, and I certainly haven’t stopped reading. I’ve just been taking a much-needed break from book reviews.

There have been some family crises and health issues over the past little while that have taken up a good bit of my time and energy. Between dealing with those things and everything else that comes with everyday life, I’ve found myself needing a bit of breathing room.

I still have several book reviews scheduled over the next couple of months, so you’ll continue to see those pop up here and there. What I haven’t been doing is signing up for many new reviews or accepting as many requests as I normally would. I love discovering new books, supporting authors, and sharing my thoughts with y’all, but I also know when I need to give myself a little break.

And that’s really all this is. I’m not making any big changes or walking away from something I enjoy. I’m just giving myself permission to read when I feel like reading, spend time with my family, take care of the things that need my attention, and not worry quite so much about everything I should be posting.

I still have plenty of books I want to talk about, and I’m sure I’ll have a few things to say along the way. You know me, I can only keep my opinions about fictional people to myself for so long.
