May arrived and I got bogged down with my mother being sick. Things got pushed aside and what should have been a giveaway and catch here at the beginning of the month got moved to now. So here we are talking about all the things going on and some plans.

First my mother is doing being which is great since I am now working on catching things up here. There are a lot of things that I had to put on the back burner, only doing what was necessary for the last couple of weeks. I did have to move a few book reviews and the April Book Club around a bit but that is okay.

Goings on Around Here

I have still been working on the updates over here. I had planned and hoped to have them done by now but then life and my laziness got in the way. I am working my way through the Bookish Life category at the moment. I did print a full list of all of my blog posts so I could check them off and make notes as I go through this process. I am finding that is very helpful. You may have noticed that the featured images all have a similar look or theme now. I have a handful of images for book covers for reviews and then am attempting to stick with a cozy theme for all other pictures. It is just my way of pulling things together better and making it cohesive.

The list helps so much! It gives me a place to write my notes, make adjustments, and other things but stay on track as well. I didn’t realize how much I skip around before doing it this way. I am updating every single featured images (that image you see when scrolling through the blog posts) as well as any other images or links that need to be updated. I most likely won’t get finished this year but I am hoping to.

Reading and Books

I am of course still reading and writing reviews. You will find they sometimes thin out a bit and then there are more. It really just depends on what my calendar looks like at any given time. I have been reading more Motorcycle Club Romance lately but I do that sometimes. Go through a period of reading a particular genre. It doesn’t mean I am not reading other things. It is just sometimes I fall into a series or a genre and get stuck there.
