Review
Gill Dickson is a great lawyer but her ex is causing problems with the divorce. We have all heard and read how nasty divorces are. It is easy to understand why Gill has sworn off men. Add in that she is estranged from her daughter then you can see why work and romance is her top priority. Then she meets the mayor and things begin to change.
While Mayor of Pelican Crossing Joe Harris is not only busy but a widower who spends time with Labrador Coco. After his wife died he had no intentions of dating or moving on in the romance department. Then his sister Erica decides to leave her abusive husband in Perth and needs a place to stay not to mention a good divorce lawyer. He asks Gill to take the case and feels a pull he hasn’t felt since his wife passed.
This is my first book in this series and I will say that it was very easy to read on its own. It was so well written and I enjoyed all of the characters so much. I went back and picked up the previous two books and am looking forward to the next one.
