Review
I absolutely adored this cozy mystery! While I myself am now a huge jazz fan, I admit I haven’t listened to it much, Florence Wetzel’s passion for jazz shines through. I was immediately transported to a world of collectors and obsessive music lovers. I also really loved that this book takes place in Hoboken of all places.
Add into the mix the discovery of lost John Coltrane (I know who he is, thank you Mr. Holland’s Opus) tapes and jazz lovers are going to flip. I was drawn into the story right away. While I have never been to Hoboken I felt like I was there. The picture that Wetzel paints just captivates you.
The characters are wonderfully written. The relationships between them draws into the story and helps move it along nicely. Not once was there a character that seemed unimportant to the plot. This was a great read and I am so glad I got the chance to read it.
