He was the most beautiful man alive.
And if I wasn't careful, he was going to be my death.*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Psyche and Eros that's as sinful as it is sweet.*
In the ultra-modern city of Olympus, there's always a price to pay. Psyche knew she'd have to face Aphrodite's ire eventually, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake...or for Aphrodite's gorgeous son to be the one ordered to strike the killing blow.
Eros has no problem shedding blood. But when it comes time to take out his latest target, he can't do it. Confused by his reaction to Psyche, he does the only thing he can think of to keep her safe: he marries her. Psyche vows to make Eros's life a living hell until they find a way out of this mess. But as lines blur and loyalties shift, she realizes he might take her heart after all...and she's not sure she can survive the loss.

my review
This series just keeps getting better—and hotter—with every single book. I didn’t think anything could top the intensity of the first story, but this one absolutely blew my expectations out of the water.
Psyche and Eros are electric together. Their chemistry is immediate, explosive, and impossible to ignore, but what really makes their story shine is the tension layered beneath it. This isn’t just attraction—it’s danger, power, and survival all wrapped into one unforgettable relationship.
Eros is a brutal, dangerous character shaped by loyalty and expectation, and yet there’s something compelling about the way he unravels when it comes to Psyche. He’s intense, possessive, and unpredictable, but his connection to her adds depth that makes him impossible to look away from. And Psyche? She is everything. Smart, strategic, and fiercely aware of the world she’s navigating, she’s not just surviving in this political battlefield—she’s playing it.
The setup is high-stakes from the start, with a fake marriage born out of necessity and survival, but it quickly becomes something much deeper. The push and pull between them, the shifting power dynamics, and the constant tension made this impossible to put down.
What I loved most, though, was the political intrigue woven throughout the story. The power plays, alliances, and underlying schemes in Olympus add another layer that makes the story feel rich and immersive. It’s not just a romance—it’s a game of control, influence, and survival.
And the final chapters? Absolutely brilliant. The balance of emotion, strategy, and shifting power left me completely satisfied and already desperate for more.
This is easily one of my favorites in the series so far. Bold, addictive, and packed with unforgettable characters—this book proves that Dark Olympus just keeps raising the bar.
