Review
I have not read the first book in this series and this one actually takes place not long after the events of the first. While I read it as a standalone I do feel that you will get more out of it if you read them in order. Lily has make a decision who she should give her heart to, Zack or Luke. Each guy has their own pros and cons and I will say that I was pleased with her choice. I think not having read the first gave me a better perspective in this one.
I like Luke a lot and Zack seemed to have red flags for me. His jealousy was certainly a huge flag. I mean girls know not to deal with that nowadays. I enjoyed the journey that Lily took as I felt she really examined what she wanted and the direction that was right for her.
I loved her friendship with Cassie. It felt very real and while it was tested I adore how they were both written as characters. I will say that all of the characters are well written and there is plenty of emotion in this story. I am certainly going back to read the first one.
