If you follow me over at Rita Reviews you know that I put all giveaways both there and here on hold for right now. Here I have also decided that I would stop The Monthly Chapter and the Author of the Month until the new year.
There are a couple of reasons for that. First I want to revamp the Monthly Chapter a bit. It has been the same since I started it and I want to change things up a little with it. The giveaway has been the same as well and I honestly want to start bringing something a little different each month. I am not sure what exactly but something.
As far as the authors go. I will be taking the list I got from y’all, adding the couple that I had planned for the remainder of this year and making an announcement in January on what authors you shall see. I am super excited about this one as there are some authors I haven’t read yet either.
Next year will also be bringing us the new Backlist of the Month which will highlight books that are more than a year old and I hope that y’all will enjoy as much as I know I will. I have taken that list and will be doing another call for books soon.
Thank you for the update, Rita. I was sorry to hear about the problems that you had with the individual that you had hired to help you with the giveaways while you were in the hospital and although I will miss entering your giveaways until next year, I am excited to see what you eventually come up with. Although I do go traipsing through your posts from years ago in order to meet a contest entry requirement, I want you to know that doing so has led me to discover many books and authors that I might not have discovered otherwise. The downside to that is that I already own more books than I will ever be able to read before I die and I can’t even talk about my wish-list… Anyway, I want you to know that I appreciate you and your blog, your book reviews and author spotlights. I do hope that you take the time to read my comment, I just never mastered the art of keeping it short and sweet, lol.
