January Backlist of the Month

Backlist of the Month 2023 Banner

I am going to tell yโ€™all I was more than a little nervous about putting this list together. The number of books that yโ€™all gave me as suggestions is rather large. So I began putting them all into a list so I could cross them off as we go. Of course, I will be adding a few books in from some of my favorite authors as well.

Let me also say that there is no set number of books for each month either. It will all depend on the time I have to read each month as well as how full my schedule looks. With that being said I decided there would be six books in January. Itโ€™s a good list to start off with and I hope that yโ€™all will read along with us during the month.

I will of course be posting reviews for each of these as I read them and may do a wrap up at the end of the month. Either way I will certainly be coming and linking the books to their reviews.

    1. Oooh Iโ€™d love to read The Color Purple. I saw the movie, of course, but it would be great to learn more about the characters from the book.

  1. I am going to check out Storm by Carian Cole looks like a great read. Love Christine Feehan already read a few of her Dark Series.

  2. Montana Sky by Nora Roberts will be a must read for me. I am happy to see Storm as one of your selections, I love Carian Cole’s writing and the Ashes and Embers series and the spin-offs, I must confess that Lukas is my favorite band/family member. I am looking forward to reading your reviews of the stories throughout the year.

  3. I need to read Gone girl, the movie was amazing! I’m sure the book is so much better and will be hard to put down

    1. I canโ€™t wait to read the new Stanley Tucci book. He is a fantastic actor and I would love to hear his thoughts on food.

  4. I won’t read any of the selected books this month because with my husband posted in Ukraine and my daughter having the flu and being home from school, I don’t have a second to spare! I am SO looking forward to next week when he comes home and I can get our family back in order!

  5. Now that the holidays are over I will have time to do more reading. I’m probably going to Read Nora Roberts Montana Sky. I like Nora Roberts books.

  6. I would love to read either the Stanley Tucci book or Gone Girl. I love Stanley Tucci, and Gone Girl sounds disturbing but entertaining at the same time.

  7. I love Carian Cole’s book! Talon is still my favorite but that whole series is great! I plan to read the Sinners Anonymous series. It’s been recommended A LOT & I have it on the TBR! ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I love Christine Feehan’s older books. I havent read Dark Prince in over a decade! Time to read the series again in order.

  9. I loved TASTE, and read THE COLOR PURPLE in high school. Still havenโ€™t read Nora Roberts, may need to fix that this month!

  10. Nothing to my tastes in the list.
Wife has read almost every Nora Roberts/J.D.Robb book ever written, and most of Christine Feehan’s books too.

  11. Gone Girl would be on my list! I have a very old copy of The Color Purple and have had all my kids read it as well, highly recommend it being on everyone’s list at some point.

  12. I would love to read Taste. Hoping to start this month but probably wonโ€™t get to it until February.

  13. I’d like to read The Color Purple (again). It moved me, when I first read it. Then I watched the TV movie. I’m going to do a rare thing (for me), and re-read a book.

  14. I have read Gone Girl already but after reading about Nora Roberts, Montana Sky book I really want to read this one this month. It looks like a great story about relationships.

  15. Yes Iโ€™ve added Gone Girl & Storm to my tbr!! They sound like amazing books I just have to find the time to read them!
