I am going to tell y'all that this series has been one of the best. Yes, I know I say it about all of Lani Lynn Vale's series but if you have read her you get where I am coming from. If you have not yet read her, now is the time to jump on the bandwagon. Don't wait for it to slow down! JUMP! Her books are like fine wine they just get better and better with every sip.

I will say that the way Gable and Athena’s attraction is acted upon, with him undercover in an MC and her walking her way right in there, reminded me a little of Silas and his first wife. Although we all know how that ended. Gable actually reminds me a bit of Silas in a lot of ways. He is who he is without any apologies and everyone else should just get on board. That could be why I liked him so much. Gable wants so much to protect Athena with everything that is going on that he pushes her away to keep her safe.

Athena lived a privileged life but after her sister was kidnapped during her childhood her life changed a lot. She has since lost her father, and most recently her brother. Her mother has become over an over the top class 5 clinger who I swear I wanted to punch at times. Her goal is to help people find the people they love who are missing while she continues to search for her sister. She never gave up hope of finding her.

That is what leads Athena into the situation where Gable is working uncover and puts her into danger. These two were simply amazing. Once Gable was in her was all in and there were moments where I swear Athena almost gave him a heart attack. As always all the other Carters are amazing and I can’t wait for the final book in the series next month.
