This was not a bad read from a new author and let's be honest I always love when B.T. Urruela is on the cover of any book.

This was my first time reading anything by Alison Mello. I’m not a big sports romance fan but I decided to take a chance on this was and was pleasantly surprised. It’s not fully of technical terms or anything like that. This turned out to be one of the better second chance romance books I have had the pleasure of reading.

Stella is a widow since her husband was murdered in NYC who decides to take her son, DJ, out of the city since she no longer feels safe. She has no idea where they are going to end up but intends to lands somewhere in West Virginia. They stop at a diner and when Stella notices they are looking for help she gets the job. Stella and DJ are ready to start their new lives, one that includes DJ signing up for Little League.

For Trystan a military injury shatters his dreams of playing pro-baseball. When he makes an ill-advised judgement call to drive his drunk friend home he ends up being sentenced to coaching the town’s little league team. Sounds like he got off easy right? Trust me when I tell you that this sentence will change his life forever.
