Clown Motel by Lani Lynn Vale | Book Review

Winston and Crimson are the couple that you immediately root for! There is a lot going on in their book and let me tell you the ride is worth it. Although I will warn that the drama towards the end will almost give you a heart attack. I was like "Oh my God!" out loud at the doctor's office when I got to that part. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.Clown Motel by Lani Lynn Vale | Book Reviewfive-stars
Clown Motel by Lani Lynn Vale
Series: Welcome to the Circus #4
Genres: Romantic Suspense

Itโ€™s not every day you meet a man at the bar, stare at him for hours, and then right when you decide to make a move, he gets up to leave. Worse, when you follow him outside, you see him completely change his appearance by shucking a wig and a button down shirt, dropping them into the nearest trash can.

When Crimson looks around to see who noticed the complete one-eighty thatโ€™s just taken place, not a single person notices or cares. When she looks back, heโ€™s gone.

Dejected, she leaves, thinking maybe sheโ€™d hallucinated and made the whole night up.

Only, just as she passes a dark alley, sheโ€™s taken. Literally and figuratively.

Thatโ€™s the night that Winston Cyrus Osborn, III walks into her life.

***

Crimson is the worst type of woman.

Sheโ€™s curious.

And curiosity kills the cat in his line of work.

With nothing else left to lose, heโ€™s set to rid this world of the filth that infests it. And in doing that, heโ€™s made a lot of enemies that would like nothing better than to ruin him and every single person he cares about.

At every turn, sheโ€™s there, insinuating herself into his life. And despite his attempts to keep her at armโ€™s length, she blows past every single barrier he erects.

He should really stay away.

He should also make sure that she stays out of his business.

Yet, he keeps letting her in. And she keeps reminding him why he wants her to stay.

Clown Motel Book Review

The rabbit hole that we go down in this book was one that I did not see coming. The Singh siblings learn things about their father that weren’t ready to hear. They knew he was a horrible person but they just didn’t know how horrible. I’m wondering how much more will come out in the last three books next year. The subject matter in this book is dark and rather heavy but Lani Lynn Vale did an amazing job with it.

Crimson is too curious for her own good. She sees Winston and just has to follow him and find out what’s going on. She just has to know and in the saying “Curiosity killed the cat” she is most definitely the cat. She takes the information they find out about their father, her mother, and the circus the hardest.

Winston is brought in to discover if what they think was going on is true. He’s a billionaire who has a side business that specializes in what the family needs. He is everything that Crimson needs even if neither of them think so at first.

While this read is darker and heavier than anything in the past there are light moments. When Crimson is alone in Winston’s office and proceeds to just be Crimson had me laughing out loud. Winston is so anal about his things and Crimson is not one to care about that.
