Same Rogue by T. S. Joyce | Book Review

T.S. Joyce is one of those authors who writes paranormal books that I just love. Her series always makes me happy when I notice that a new one has been released. Her characters are funny, engaging, and honestly makes me wish I was a shifter at times. If you haven’t read any of her books this is a wonderful series to start with but I highly suggest you go back because her Saw Bears series will introduce you to the Asheland Mobile Park crew and I promise you will be hooked.Same Rogue by T. About the Book:

Bridger Thomas has a hidden past that he needs to stay a secret.
The Rogue Pack only knows bits and pieces of his story, and he wants it to stay that way. When a sexy werewolf shows up at his door claiming to be his mate, he’s furious. She has the ability to ruin everything he has built with this Pack. From the moment he meets her, he is baffled by her. Kit is the complete opposite of anything he would ever want in a mate, and not his match in any way. But…he can’t seem to stop checking in on her, and finding excuses to be around her. His inner wolf is howling for a fun night with her, but the human side has logic, and it’s telling him to avoid her completely. She’s understanding, and independent, and way too interesting for her own good, but he has his reasons for never pairing up again.

Kit Rothchild has been tricked.
She thought she was talking to the perfect mate all these months, and now when she meets him, Bridger claims he doesn’t even know who she is. Her life is ruined. She’s left her home, her Pack, and a potential mate to move in with Bridger, trusting that he is everything he says he is. Only, Kit is starting to realize Bridger isn’t the man she thought he was at all. And scarier? She’s starting to suspect who he really is. And even scarier than that? She’s falling hard for a man who has vowed never to love again, and is hiding terrifying secrets.

****Content Warning: Explicit spicy love scenes, naughty language, territory line disputes, some violence, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

my review

Bridger was the one wolf that I wanted to know more about. He seemed to hate the entire Rogue Pack yet at the same time he was always there when he was needed. When they camped he went but stayed just outside the rest of the pack. We knew he had a mate that died from the previous books. Here we find out how and why. It was heartbreaking. I felt so badly for him and the guilt he seemed to carry.

While Kit was different from what I would have expected for Bridger she was just what he needed. I felt bad for the way they got set up but at the same time that is so Rogue Pack. I did feel they got off a little too easy but their hearts were in the right place.

I will say this was a quick read and it ends well. I was more than happy about it but it seemed a little different than the others. This was more an internal struggle than outside struggles. I expected Kit’s old pack to show up but then we learned more about Bridger and things made better sense. I think this one needed to be a bit more gentler because Bridger was going through so much.
