Bridger was the one wolf that I wanted to know more about. He seemed to hate the entire Rogue Pack yet at the same time he was always there when he was needed. When they camped he went but stayed just outside the rest of the pack. We knew he had a mate that died from the previous books. Here we find out how and why. It was heartbreaking. I felt so badly for him and the guilt he seemed to carry.
While Kit was different from what I would have expected for Bridger she was just what he needed. I felt bad for the way they got set up but at the same time that is so Rogue Pack. I did feel they got off a little too easy but their hearts were in the right place.
I will say this was a quick read and it ends well. I was more than happy about it but it seemed a little different than the others. This was more an internal struggle than outside struggles. I expected Kit’s old pack to show up but then we learned more about Bridger and things made better sense. I think this one needed to be a bit more gentler because Bridger was going through so much.
