I was so excited when I saw this book in the PR Book Mail box from Instalove Influencers. I had not read any of Nichole Rose prior to receiving this book, although I had signed up for a couple of her books to get early and review. I am so glad this is the first book I read of hers though because it is simply awesome!

This was a wonderful start to the series and honestly couldn’t put it down. It was a pretty quick read but that is okay. Royce and Emilia had me completely invested in their story from the beginning, not to mention laughing out loud more than once. 

It begins as a childhood game that turns into something more as the years go by.Royce knows exactly what he wants from the moment he sets his sights on Emilia, and I adored his determination. He falls hard and never once wavers, no matter how stubborn or resistant Emilia may be.

Emilia, though, seems determined to stick to the plans made for herself. She fights her feelings every step of the way, convinced that she can outsmart fate. But the more time she spends with Royce, the harder it becomes to ignore what her heart already knows.

The chemistry between these two was wonderful, and their banter kept me smiling throughout the story. Royce’s persistence balanced perfectly with Emilia’s stubborn streak, making their journey to happily ever after both entertaining and heartfelt.

Nichole Rose delivers a sweet, funny, and romantic story about love, destiny, and taking a chance on the future you never expected. If this book is any indication of what’s to come, I can’t wait to continue with the rest of the series.
