Review
Ann-Marie’s husband is anything but nice so when she and her best friend Elaine decide that Billy (aka Bull) needs to have an “accident” it is rather shocking. I mean that is how we start off right out of the gate. Ann-Marie has big plans for her farm and those pigs aren’t welcome anymore.
It sounded like the perfect murder and the only person who was fairly sure they knew what really happened was Isa, Ann-Marie’s mother. But, her daughter suddenly wants to know more about her father’s death and then there is his brother and sister.
Poor Elaine has her own problems. Her husband doesn’t seem to want to take his marriage vows seriously and then there is her friend Sadie who also has a rather abusive husband.
This book was one of those dark humor ones that will leave you breathless. I loved every second of it. The women and their stories about friendship and coming out the other side of what life throws at you is so well written.
