Riley had me from the first chapter. Give me a woman who knows her way around an engine, refuses to let anyone underestimate her, and isn't afraid to put an arrogant biker in his place, and I'm already invested.

Riley is running for her life.

After being framed for something she didn’t do, she grabs the evidence she needs to protect herself, gets in her Mustang, and disappears. Unfortunately, her car has other ideas. It breaks down outside The Pit, the Redline Kings’ garage, and that’s where everything changes.

Riley fit into this world far quicker than I expected. She isn’t there to be rescued, and she certainly doesn’t need anyone explaining how to fix a car. When Gauge starts trying to tell her what she’s doing wrong, she shuts him down so fast I laughed out loud. She knows engines inside and out, and watching the guys realize she can outwork most of them was incredibly satisfying.

Gauge never played games with Riley. From the beginning he knew she was different. He also knew she was scared, even if she refused to admit it. I loved that he didn’t try to bulldoze his way into her life. He gave her space when she needed it and stepped in when she couldn’t fight alone anymore. For a Redline King, that’s about as patient as it gets.

One of my favorite things about this series is how connected every book feels. You never lose the characters you’ve already fallen in love with. They keep showing up, they keep interfering, and they continue feeling like one big family instead of disappearing into the background after their own book.

When Riley’s past finally catches up with her, the entire club closes ranks without hesitation. That is one of my favorite things about MC romances. Once they decide you’re one of theirs, they’ll go to war for you without thinking twice.

This book has everything I read this series for. A heroine who can stand on her own two feet. A hero who falls hard and doesn’t look back. Fast cars, loyal brothers, plenty of heat, and just enough danger to keep the pages turning. Gauge and Riley fit together from the start, even if neither one of them saw it coming.
