Review
Rafe Harrington runs a successful travel company and enjoys a stylish city apartment. With a loyal and hardworking team by his side, he’s shocked to discover that a London-based rival is sending spies to undermine competing businesses. While investigating the company’s website, Rafe notices a captivating smile among the staff photos—that of Tilly Thorpe—and finds himself unexpectedly drawn to her.
Rafe is an instantly likable character with a strong sense of justice and fairness. He’s a great boss and has earned the unwavering loyalty of his team. However, past heartbreak has made him hesitant about dating, though that hasn’t stopped his mother’s relentless matchmaking. To sidetrack her efforts, he invents a fake girlfriend—none other than Tilly Thorpe—assuming their paths will never cross.
Meanwhile, Tilly is fiercely loyal, hardworking, and barely scraping by as she commutes between her tiny London flat and an office where her talents go unrecognized. She’s completely unaware of her imaginary relationship with Rafe—until fate (and a snowstorm) brings them together at his family home in Scotland. Learning about Tilly’s tough upbringing and her yearning for a true family Christmas made her story even more poignant and heartfelt.
As the snow falls and the temperatures drop, the chemistry between Rafe and Tilly begins to sizzle. Packed with the magic of Christmas and the warmth of a close-knit family, this story is a perfect romantic escape that leaves you feeling cozy and uplifted.
I adored everything about this book, from its festive charm to the cameos by beloved characters from earlier Glenbriar stories. While it works beautifully as a standalone, reading the series adds an extra layer of delight. This is holiday romance at its best!
